Clearning the air strip is a team effort, it is not done with equipment it is done by hand. 20 plus of us went out the day before the plane was due in to make sure the strip was landable. We spent 4 hours clearing, praising the Lord for His provisions of the air strip, and sharing Jesus.

I have never done it, but your nephew has on many occasions! I'm pretty sure most of them have been paved, though.
