I know this is March, but the following is for January.

It has been quite a while since my last update.  Since returning to Africa, it seems like it has been a constant go, with areas of no internet and no way to update my blog.  But now I am in a slow time, with internet, so I am going to attempt to update you for January and February.

January saw me traveling to Uganda, to be a part of two pastor's conferences in different rural areas of Uganda.  Plus being able to be with the women, and Children and by God's grace to help them understand who they are in Christ.   So I will let pictures tell the rest of this story:

First Conference

Second Conference

They are so, so hungry for God's Word, to learn, to understand, to apply.  The teaching for the two conferences was the Old and New Testament surveys, in storytelling form.  Some of the challenges we face in these areas are: language, education, meetings not starting on time, teachings that have to be adjusted due to time or understanding, heat, no electricity, generators that don't always work, miss-communication, these are just a few, HOWEVER they are not challenges that our Lord and Savior has any problems with, He bridges them all.  He gives us wisdom, insight and discernment to know how to adjust, and language does not stop HIM.  And He allows us to be a part of what He is doing!  Thank you Jesus!!  HIS AMAZING GRACE.
We take so much for granted, and sometimes we bring those assumptions with us.  In the US we assume everyone knows the story, of God's grace, Adam and Eve, the Messiah, how Jesus came so that we can be saved, that HE lives, and HE will come again, we know how the story goes (or we think everyone does).  Some have said the people here have nothing, well that is nothing by our standards, not theirs, if you could see the smiles on their faces, hear their laughter, see their eyes light up, feel the joy in their hearts, you would never say they have nothing, and then through His Holy Spirit they receive a deeper understanding of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Their worship and dancing brings glory to God.  What a humbling and amazing thing to watch as God continues to let us be a part of what He is doing in so many lives and the blessing He gives as He shows us some of the fruit. One pastor said "Now they can see Jesus in the Old Testament, this teaching has given them courage to receive more; a new revelation "mans sins." I could go on and on with testimonies of how the Holy Spirit opened their minds and their hearts to a deeper understanding.  Praise His Holy name!!!
